YouTube Partner Program and AdSense
The YouTube Partner Program lets creators earn from their channel. Earnings are paid through Google AdSense.
Definition
The YouTube Partner Program (YPP) gives creators access to monetization features such as ad revenue, channel memberships and Super Chat. To join, a channel must meet YouTube's subscriber and watch-time or Shorts-views requirements and follow its policies.1
How payments work
- Every monetized channel is linked to an AdSense for YouTube account2
- Earnings are finalized monthly and paid once the balance reaches the payment threshold, for example USD 100 for accounts in US dollars23
- Payment methods include electronic bank transfer (EFT), wire transfer, check and Hyperwallet2
- When a channel is part of a multi-channel network, the revenue goes to the network, which pays the creator their share4
