The concept
A Merchant of Record is the legal counterparty in a transaction: the entity that formally buys the work from your payee and provides it to you. The model comes from software, where SaaS companies use an MoR to handle sales tax across dozens of jurisdictions without registering in each one. Talentir applies the same structure to payouts. The formal transaction sits between your payee and Talentir, and we bill you as one consolidated relationship. For tax, VAT and compliance, Talentir is the merchant of record.
